From a young age, I’ve always had a deep love for dogs, but it wasn't until my late teens that my passion truly took flight. That pivotal moment came when I met my "adopted dad," Brian Harvey, a true mentor whose guidance would shape my entire career. Under Brian’s mentorship, I discovered the world of IGP Schutzhund, and my skills and passion grew exponentially. His wisdom, patience, and expertise in training set the foundation for my success, leading to the eventual opening of Canine CoPilots Dog Training.
Brian’s influence has been immeasurable, and although he passed away from cancer in 2021, his memory and legacy continue to drive me every day. His teachings not only shaped my approach to training but also instilled in me the determination to push the boundaries of what I thought possible. I am proud to have trained multiple dogs to the prestigious IGP 3 level, and my success extends across other disciplines, including AKC Obedience, Rally, Barn Hunt, and Dock Diving.
When I’m not working with dogs, you’ll find me in my garden, caring for my chickens, or spending time with my Quarterhorse, Stoney. I cherish moments fishing with my husband Jeofrey and making memories with my boys, Owen and Trace. But no matter what, my most treasured time is always spent with my dog, Hanzo—he’s my constant companion, and together we share an unbreakable bond.
At Canine CoPilots Dog Training, I strive to pass on the lessons I’ve learned and the passion I have for working with dogs to others. Every dog has the potential to excel, and my mission is to help them unlock that potential through thoughtful, dedicated training.
I've always had a deep passion for learning, teaching, and animals—passions that naturally converged when I acquired my first dog, Kia, a Craigslist German Shepherd. Determined to communicate with her at the highest level, I dove headfirst into learning everything I could about dog behavior and training. That journey led me to my mentor, Brian Harvey, whose influence truly shaped my path. Under his guidance, I spent 10 years learning and growing, earning my USCA Helper Certification and decoying for the Rottweiler and Dutch Shepherd Nationals, along with numerous club trials and training days.
Though we lost Brian to cancer in 2021, his teachings and legacy live on through my work. I continue to carry the torch by sharing my knowledge of dog communication with my clients, helping dogs and owners build better, stronger relationships. My greatest fulfillment comes from working with dogs who face real challenges, using behavior modification therapy to help them find their confidence and navigate their emotional struggles.
When I’m not training dogs or working as a helper, I’m often enjoying time outdoors. Whether it's fishing with my wife Anna and our boys, Owen and Trace, dispersed camping, or off-roading in my truck, I’m always looking for ways to connect with nature. I’m also always at home with my dogs, Nike (my German Shepherd) and Frank (my Jack Russell), who keep me on my toes and remind me daily of the joy and loyalty dogs bring into our lives.
At Canine CoPilots Dog Training, my mission is to empower dogs and their owners to reach new levels of trust, communication, and success—just as I’ve done with my own dogs and thousands of other dogs over the years.
