A Customized Training Experience for Lasting Results
Our Board and Train program is a comprehensive, immersive training experience designed to address your dog’s unique needs with maximum efficiency. With Board and Train, your dog stays with our experienced trainers for a set period, allowing us to work intensively on behavioral or obedience training in a structured, focused environment. This approach is especially beneficial for dogs with complex behavioral challenges, such as reactivity, anxiety, or aggression, as well as for owners seeking reliable, foundational training.
At Canine CoPilots, we customize each Board and Train program to meet the specific goals of you and your dog. Our programs range from 1 to 6 weeks, allowing us to address everything from basic obedience to intensive behavior modification. Before your dog begins the program, we’ll conduct a consultation to discuss their temperament, your training goals, and any particular challenges or behaviors you’d like to address.
Throughout the stay, your dog will engage in daily training sessions, structured socialization, and positive-reinforcement techniques to build and reinforce new skills.
Board and Train is ideal for busy dog owners or those dealing with behavioral issues that require focused, hands-on training. By staying in a controlled environment, your dog can receive:

During your dogs time here at CCP, he/she will stay in our temperature controlled kennel system on our home property. Dogs sleep and spend time in their 4ft x 4ft indoor run, connected to separate turn out runs. Dogs are turned out every few hours to relieve themselves by one of our kennel staff.
Training dogs begin their stay by getting to know the trainers and staff and learning the routine of their day. Dogs have several focused obedience rounds each day, along with play time, walks (when weather permits) and nap times. Our goal is to expose your dog to as many different environments as possible while the stay with us, to ensure the training is viable everywhere!
Once the dog has settled into the kennel, we start training! Our dogs learn basic skills such as sit, down, stay, come, heel, and go to place! Once they have a basic understanding of our expectations, we start teaching them how to use their new skills to make the right choices in every situation.
During the last week of training, we will ask that you (and your family) come to the kennel for a lesson. This is probably the most important part of your dogs Board and Train, YOU! At this lesson we will start teaching you how to utilize your dogs new education to its fullest! Expect your dog to be a little naughty upon first meeting! They are as excited to see you as you are to see them! At first, let your dog just be free to say his greetings. At this time, allow the trainers to manage them in their excitement (ie: leave it up to us to give the commands). Once everyone gets their "Hellos" out of their system, we can move on to the learning part. It is very important at this point that you are paying attention to the training happening. In a perfect world, your dog will magically listen to you every time you speak... But... we all know the world is not perfect, and this is where you learn what to do when your dog doesn't do everything perfect.
You Made It! Your dog has completed their training with us, and its time for them to rejoin you at home.
In some cases, we will bring your dog home to you, in others, you will pick up at the kennel. We will decide which is best as that time gets closer.
Before taking your dog home (or us leaving your home ) we will spend a short time on another lesson tying up loose ends from your previous lesson. When everyone feels ready to go, we will send you along home.
All board and train dogs will be send home with their own e-collar, prong collar, and place bed (sometimes these beds will be drop shipped to you). . Any remaining food will be bagged up and sent home, along with anything else you brought when you dropped off.
Following your dogs stay at the kennel you have a number of private lessons included to finish you training at home with the help of one of our trainers.
We implore you to stay in contact with us following your training to make sure you and your dog are getting the most out of your board and train! Please call us with any questions or concerns you may have! if we cannot help over the phone we will be happy to set up a lesson!
